Here's a recipe for classic banana bread:

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2-3 medium bananas)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the salt, baking soda, and flour together. Gradually add this mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Stir in the mashed bananas until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

You can also add nuts, chocolate chips, or other ingredients to customize the recipe as per your taste. Also, banana bread can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
