Pan-Seared Filet Mignon Recipe


 Pan-Seared Filet Mignon Recipe:

Ingredients:

1. 4 filet mignon steaks, about 1 1/2 inch thick

2. 2 tablespoons olive oil

3. 2 cloves garlic, minced

4. Salt and pepper to taste

5. 2 sprigs fresh thyme

6. 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions:

1. Remove the steaks from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.

2. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over high heat.

4. Season the filet mignon steaks generously with salt and pepper.

5. Add the steaks to the hot skillet and sear them for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are nicely browned.

6. Add the garlic and thyme to the skillet and spoon the butter over the steaks.

7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake the filet mignon for about 5-6 minutes for medium-rare doneness, or longer if desired.

8. Remove the skillet from the oven and let the steaks rest for about 5 minutes before serving.

Serve the filet mignon with your favorite sides and enjoy!
