Calzone recipe:

 Ingredients:

1. 1 pound pizza dough

2. 1/2 cup pizza sauce

3. 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

4. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

5. 1/4 cup sliced pepperoni

6. 1/4 cup sliced black olives

7. 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper

8. 1/4 cup diced onion

9. 1 egg, beaten

Cooking Time and Temperature:

1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C).

2. Divide the pizza dough into two equal portions and roll each portion out into a 10-inch circle.

3. Spread 1/4 cup of pizza sauce on one half of each circle, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edge.

4. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese and 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese on top of the sauce on each circle.

5. Add 2 tablespoons of pepperoni, olives, green bell pepper, and onion to each circle.

6. Fold the empty half of the dough over the filled half and press the edges together to seal.

7. Use a fork to crimp the edges of the calzones.

8. Brush the beaten egg over the top of each calzone.

9. Bake the calzones on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

10. Serve hot with the remaining pizza sauce on the side for dipping.
