 French-style omeletts:

Ingredients:

1. 2 large eggs

2. 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

3. Salt and pepper, to taste

4. Fresh chives, chopped (optional)

Instructions:

Crack the Eggs:

Crack the eggs into a mixing bowl and beat them with a fork until the yolks and whites are fully combined.

Melt the Butter:

In a non-stick skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Cook the Omelette:

Once the butter has melted and started to foam, pour the beaten eggs into the skillet.

Using a fork, stir the eggs gently and continuously for about 10-15 seconds, then stop stirring and let the eggs cook for another 30 seconds or until the bottom is set but the top is still slightly runny.

Using a spatula, fold one side of the omelette over the other side to create a half-moon shape.

Let the omelette cook for another 10-15 seconds or until the eggs are fully set.

Slide the omelette onto a plate and season with salt, pepper, and chopped chives, if desired.

Serve:

Serve the omelette hot, garnished with additional chives, if desired.
